Three-day Tour of Jiuzhai Valley and Huanglong

Jiuzhai Valley and Huanglong are regarded as two iconic destinations of Sichuan Province. Even  visitors visiting Jiuzhai and Huanglong for the first time will quickly be enthralled by how fun and fascinating they can be. The distant mountains were enveloped in clouds and mists; grasslands and glaciers shimmers in the gentle breeze; the lands insect with colorful ponds like emeralds and other gems; waterfalls pour down over the rocks and make prays; lakes resemble large mirrors, reflecting the surrounding snow-capped mountains and lush forests...

On this three-day tour, you can visit the postcard-perfect sceneries in Jiuzhai and Huanglong to embrace the nature and unwind yourself.

Itinerary:

· Day 1: Jiuzhai Valley Arrival

Your guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel near the scenic area. It will cost you 2 hours. If time permits, you can have a free walk around your hotel and have a fun night out. After an overnight relaxation, your wonderful tour will begin.

· Day 2: Jiuzhai Valley

Welcome to Jiuzhai Valley, a fairy-tale land blessed with 114 turquoise pools and lakes, 47 tranquil springs, 17 groups of waterfalls, 11 rapids and 5 tufa shoals!

The three main valleys we are going to visit today are Shuzheng Valley, Rize Valley, and Zechawa Valley. It is easy to get to any attraction as there are tour buses running from the entrance to the three valleys. You can just be relaxed and enjoy the beautiful mountains and waters on route.

After Jiuzhaigou sightseeing, your tour guide and driver will escort you to the next destination, Huanglong Valley. It will take you two and a half hours. A comfortable hotel will be prepared for you. Just enjoy your tranquil night.

· Day 3: Huanglong

After breakfast, set off early to have a full-day sightseeing of Huanglong. There lies one of three most splendid travertine lake terraces in the world. Looking down from the Snow Treasure Mountain, the lake terrace is like a Yellow dragon with showy scales, and hence the beautiuful place gains the name of Huanglong ( which means yellow dragon in Chinese).

Walking uphill, you can immerse yourself in the beautiful snow mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, lakes, etc. Upon arriving the mountain top, you can have a view of the Five-Color Ponds composed of 693 ponds of different colors and shapes. Taking a cable car downhill, you can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the beautiful scenery.

At the end of the tour, your guide and driver will send you off. The drive is about one and a half hours. To ensure that you can catch the flight, you’d better set off two and a half hours in advance from the scenic area.

Travel Tips:

1. The two attractions are very famous and popular in China, so there can be many travelers. In order to avoid the crowding, you should start early.

2. The food options in scenic areas are limited. You’d better prepare some snacks in advance.

3. Both attractions are located at high altitude areas. In order to avoid the high altitude sickness, you’d better walk at a slow pace and bring an oxygen tank with you.
