Two-day Tour of Langzhong

Overview:

Langzhong Old Town enjoys the fame of world Millennium City and is the birthplace of Chinese New Year. The charming town is also famous for Feng Shui (the art of arranging buildings and areas in a good and lucky position). The two-day tour will provide you with a chance to have a better understanding of Chinese culture, especially the culture in Three Kingdom era and the Confucian culture.

Itinerary:

· Day 1 Chengdu-Langzhong

Your private guide will meet you in Chengdu. Then let’s take the bullet train to Langzhong. It will take two and a half hours. Langzhong Old Town is a well-preserved ancient town with a long history of over 2,300 years. It resembles a large chessboard dotted with orderly houses, which is surrounded by rolling hills and flowing rivers, considered to be quite auspicious in Fengshui. In the afternoon, we can take a stroll here and have a taste of delicious local snakes sold in stalls. The town features Chinese liquor, vinegar and beef, all of which worth a try.

· Day 2 Langzhong-Chengdu

Today is all for sightseeing in Langzhong. There are many interesting attractions we can pay a visit to.

· Zhang Fei Temple: it is constructed to commemorate the military general who has sacrificed a lot for the development of the city in the Three Kingdom era.

· Ancient Examination Hall: it used to be a place for emperors to select talents. It is nowadays the best witness to Chinese ancient imperial examination system.

· Confucius Temple: it is a historical and cultural site survived from Qing Dynasty where the great master Confucius is enshrined. It is a good place to experience the Confucian culture.

· Zhongtian Tower: it is the most auspicious site in the ancient town, so all the streets in the city start here and extend towards different directions. Ascending the top, a broad scene of the Feng Shui layout of the town comes into eyes.

In the late afternoon, we will take a bullet train back to Chengdu and see you off. If you want to extend your stay, we are willing to make customized tour plans for you.
