Day2 Beijing

Today we will begin with a visit to the Temple of Heaven. Since it’s where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties held the heaven worship ceremony, a main feature of this place is its circular shapes over squares, built so to echo the Chinese philosophy of “heaven is round and earth square”You’ll marvel at the majesty of the skyblue-roofed Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest and Circular Mound Altar, the very hallmarks of this complex, used by ancient emperors as interlocutors to pray for good harvests and offer sacrifice to heaven.

Then, we will visit the Tiananmen Square, the very center of Beijing, representing the city or even China. The enormous area of the square has made it the witness to many grandest events that ever happened in China.

Next we'll go to the Forbidden City, a pearl set on the central axis of Beijing and China’s historical crown.

Day3 Beijing

Mutianyu section of the great wall has the largest construction scale and provides spectacular views on either side. In the morning our guide will pick you up at the lobby of your hotel and accompany you to Mutianyu with private transfer. During the 2 hours driving, our professional guide will give you an explication of the Great Wall and the related Chinese history and culture.

Day4 Beijing-Xi'an

Today we will begin with a visit to the Summer Palace, originally a birthday gift from a Qing emperor to his mother and the largest and best-preserved imperial garden that survived some 270 years.

After lunch, we will take the Bullet Train to Xi'an in the afternoon.

Day5 Xi'an

Today we will begin with a visit to the Terracotta Warriors, an astounding discovery found to be the mausoleum for Emperor Qin Shi Huang (259 - 210 BC), the founder of Qin Empire, the first empire ever existing in China’s history. You’ll shudder before this World's Eighth Great Wonder, wondering at those delicately-sculpted clay soldiers and horses, bronze chariots, as well as bronze weapons full of details, altogether forming a spectacle of a real war. About the earthy-gray terracotta warriors, there is a curious fact you might be interested - they were colorful once! Even at the moment they were unearthed in 1974.

Day6 Xi'an

Today we will begin with a visit to the City Wall Park, which is a large park surrounding the City Wall of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD). It is also a good place for locals to have fun and exercise, as well as for tourists to get close to local life. Afterwards, you may follow your guide to ascend the City Wall, where you can appreciate the traditional beauty of Xi'an from different angles.

Then we’ll have lunch at Muslim Quarter, another hot attraction in Xi’an, for both tourists and locals. It’s a snack street on which stalls and restaurants were all run by Muslims.

Day7 Xi'an --Lanzhou

We take the Bullet Train to Lanzhou.Lanzhou is the capital city of Gansu Province in northwest China. The Yellow River, the Chinese Mother River, runs through the city, ensuring rich crops of many juicy and fragrant fruits. Free afternoon ,Walk along the yellow river,find the local snacks at the night market.

Day8 Lanzhou--xiahe

On the way to Xiahe, we will visit bingling caves.Bingling means 'ten thousand Buddhas' in the Tibetan language.The Bingling Thousand Buddha Caves inside the temple is one of the very noted five caves in China.

Day9 Xiahe

Today we will begin with a visit to the Labrang Monastery, the center of Tibetan Buddhism and culture of Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan. The monastery mainly consists of six grand halls, 84 temples, 31 Tibetan-style buildings and 30 Buddhist palaces. You will also watch Lamas doing morning practice when touring the monastery.

Day10 Xiahe-Lanzhou-Zhangye

Today we will go back to Lanzhou in the morning, then we take the Bullet Train to Zhangye , a major Silk Road trading town and a major choke point.

Day11 Zhangye-Jiayuguan

Today we will begin with a visit to the colorful Danxia landforms in the morning

. This place is a representative of colored Danxia landform in China. Hills there consist of several rock strips which show different colors under the sunlight, and that's how this place got the nickname, Rainbow Mountains. Then we take the train to Jiayuguan in the afternoon.

Day12 Jiayuguan-Dunhuang

Today we will begin with a visit to the Jiayuguan Pass, also known as the Greatest Pass under Heaven. It is the largest existing pass on the Great Wall and the largest pass in China. If time permits, you may also visit the Overhanging Great Wall, also called the Xuanbi Great Wall- a place with one of the most spectacular views along the Great Wall, and a lesson in the tactical ingenuity of ancient Chinese builders.

Day13 Dunhuang

Today we will begin with a visit to the Mogao Caves. As one of China's five most famous grottoes, Mogao Grottoes is also the largest and best-preserved Buddhism art treasure house. It is especially famous for a great number of delicate murals and statues. All together it has 492 caves housing over 2,000 statues and more than 50,000 square yards of murals.

Day14 Dunhuang

Today we will visit to the Echoing-Sand Mountain. Echoing-Sand Mountain is named after the sound of sand movement, there is Crescent Lake so called because of its shape. The water in the lake is so pure and sweet that it looks like an emerald set in the sand. Many of the visitors who have made their way down Echoing-Sand Mountain like to drink from the lake. According to historical record, the lake has been in existence for hundreds of years without ever being buried by the sand; it is really a geological wonder.

Day15 Dunhuang-Tulufan

In the morning we will take the bus to Liuyuan Railway Station, then we take the Bullet Train to Turpan. Turpan is the lowest basin in China, a major town on the ancient Silk Road, preserving many ancient city walls and tombs. Flaming Mountain, which is mentioned in a classical Chinese novel The Journey to the West is the hottest place in China.

Day16 Turpan

The first stop you will visit is the Karez Well, one of the three great ancient projects in China. These wells are made up of vertical wells, underground canals, above-ground canals and small reservoirs. They were built by the ancient Turpan people about 2,000 years ago to solve the water shortage of this city.

In the afternoon, we will go to the Jiaohe Ruins, which is currently the largest and oldest earthen city in the world. The remains you see today was descended from the Tang Dynasty. Because of the high location and dry climate, most of the buildings in the city are well preserved. By visiting here and learning from your local guide, you will have an understanding of the past civilizations along the Silk Road.

Day17 Turpan-Urumqi

Today we will begin with a visit to Turpan Museum in the morning. Surrounded by high mountains, forming a unique continental warm-temperate desert climate, where long sunshine, high temperature, low precipitation, very dry, unique natural conditions also make a large number of organic cultural relics can be preserved.

Then in the afternoon, we will take the Bullet Train to Urumqi.

Day18 Urumqi-Kashgar

In the morning we take a bus to Heavenly Lake, which looks like a blue crescent lying among the lofty mountains, reflecting the azure sky and floating clouds. Then, in the evening we take a flight to Kashgar.

Today's schedule depends on the date of arrival. If we arrive on Sunday, we will visit the fascinating Sunday Market. It is a large market for international traders. In the market, you can also buy some local crafts or dried fruits to take home. If not,

We will go to Kashgar Old Town. Kashgar Old Town is home to the Uygur and you can see and feel Uygur culture here: their festivals, clothing, songs and dances. You can also eat much Xinjiang food here.

Day20 Kashgar - Tashkurgan

In the morning, we take a tour bus in Kashgar to Tashkurgan, along the way, you will be amazed at the charming scenery of the Karakuli Lake and the Subashi Grassland. 'Karakuli' means 'Black Sea'. The lakeside Subashi Grassland has luxuriant grass where sheep and cattle enjoy their meals.

Day21 Tashkurgan - Kashgar

Today's excursion will begin with a visit to the Id Kah Mosque, which is located in the city center. As the largest mosque in Xinjiang, the Id Kah Mosque is an Islamic complex of strong ethnic flavor and religious color.
